Ayodele Ogunnaiya is the Balogun Egbe Obayori Akile Ijebu. 

Balogun hails from Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State and had his education at Emmanuel Primary ‎School (elementary), Ojota Secondary School, The Polytechnic Ibadan and later Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye.

Balogun ‎started his career as a Counsel with the then NBA Chairman (Ikeja Branch), Messier Bisi Ademuwagun. He later moved to Lai Babatunde SAN (Law Breed Publication) where he doubled as a Cousel and as Proof-Reader.

Balogun was part of the pioneer-team that commenced a fully rebuilt global custody business (securities services) in Nigeria while working at First Bank of Nigeria Plc (now FBN Holdings Plc). During his stay at FBN, his team became the first local bank to successfully deliver real asset custody business in Nigeria. He then transitioned to Standard Chartered Bank where he started and completed several assets transfer between international and local partners.

Being a part of an industry transformation agenda, Balogun has over the years been involved in several financial developmental projects such as but not limited to the National Swift Initiative (Capital Market Committee On Swift), ‎ Association Of Assets Custodians Of Nigeria (Founding Member) and most recently THE CBN eCCI Project(Steering Committee member).‎

‎Balogun has attended both local and international global custody trainings at London, Singapore and Ghana. He is a Country Champion for CBN regulated banking international products for FPI/FDI, a Bank SEC Sponsored Individual and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
